// the signal

You've felt it before. You just didn't have a name for it.

// the broken script

Every social event follows the same broken script.

Walk in. Don't know anyone. Stand near the bar. Someone asks what you do for a living. You answer. They answer. You both pretend to care.

Then you leave early and tell yourself you're just not a "social event person."

But what if the events were the problem? Not you. What if someone built something where the filtering happened before you walked in? Where the people in the room actually wanted to be there? Where nobody asked you what you do - they asked you what you think?

Keep scrolling. This gets more specific.

// recognition

We already know a few things about you.

You've left a party early and felt relieved before you reached the car.

You have a Notes app full of ideas you've never told anyone about.

You've had one conversation that lasted four hours and it recharged you more than a week of "catching up" with people.

You think faster than you talk. Or you talk faster than most people can follow. Or both at the same time.

You've Googled "why do I find socialising exhausting" at least once.

You don't hate people. You hate rooms that aren't built for how you work.

If more than two of those landed, this is your place.

01 // who we are

Not a meetup. Not a networking event. Not a bar crawl.

Paradise Glitch is a curated social community in Leeds. We bring together people who want real connection, real conversation, and real energy. Our events are host-led, intentionally designed, and deliberately filtered. Every person in the room chose to be there. Every conversation starts at a different level. We are not trying to be for everyone. We are trying to be exactly right for the people who need this.

04 // our promise

Our Promise

Filtered Rooms

We do not let anyone in. Not because we are exclusive. Because the room only works if everyone in it actually wants to be there. The filter is the feature.

Think of it as a bouncer for energy, not status.

Zero Flakes

If you say you are coming, you come. If you are not sure, do not book. That is it. This is the reason the energy is different when you walk in.

15 people who are fully present > 50 who are half somewhere else.

Real Conversations

No name badges. No elevator pitches. No forced icebreakers. Just rooms full of people who are there for the same reason you are.

The kind of conversations that make you forget to check your phone.

03 // what we do

What we do.

Core

The flagship. Our bi-weekly Saturday social. Curated rooms, hosted conversations, and the kind of energy that makes you forget what time it is. This is where the community lives.

Bi-weekly Saturday

Syntax and Soul

Where tech meets culture. Ideas, creativity, and the weird space in between. For the people who think about things differently and want a room that rewards it.

Every Friday

The Current

Sunday daytime sessions. Slower pace, deeper conversations, collaborative energy. Bring something you are working on. Bring a question you have been sitting on. Bring yourself.

Every Sunday

Deep Dives

Smaller, more focused sessions around a single topic. Brainstorming. Problem-solving. The kind of conversations you wish happened at work but never do.

Monthly

What a night actually feels like:

7:30pmYou walk in. The room is smaller than you expected. That's on purpose.

7:45pmSomeone catches your eye and starts a conversation about something real. Not what you do for work. What you actually think about.

9:00pmYou realise you haven't checked the time once.

10:30pmYou leave with three new people's numbers and the feeling that you just found something.

11:15pmYou text The Signal group. "That was different."

// the signal

The community between the events.

Paradise Glitch doesn't stop when the event ends. The Signal is where the community lives day to day. It's where ideas happen, connections deepen, and the people you met on Saturday become the people you message on Tuesday.

It's gated. It's curated. And it's the realest group chat you'll ever be in.

Right now, someone in The Signal is sharing an idea they've never said out loud before. Someone else just replied "I've been thinking the exact same thing." That's what this is.

// real talk

Things you're probably thinking.

What if I don't know anyone?

That's the point. Nobody does at first. The room is designed so that doesn't matter.

What if it's awkward?

It's not. We host it. There's structure without it feeling structured. You won't stand in a corner.

What if my social battery dies?

Let us know. Life happens. The Zero Flakes rule is about respect, not rigidity. We just need to know.

Is this a support group?

No. It's a social community. We're not fixing anyone. We're just building better rooms.

Do I have to talk?

You can listen. You can observe. You can jump in when you're ready. There's no performance requirement. The room works because people are present, not because everyone's performing.

What does "filtered" actually mean?

Short application. A few questions. We're not looking for right answers - we're looking for the kind of person who'd even bother to answer them honestly.

08 // the team

Built by people who were tired of looking.

Tiko - Co-Founder | Head of Infrastructure & Vibe

Tiko

Co-Founder | Head of Infrastructure & Vibe

Life threw enough chaos at Tiko that he made a career out of engineering it. As co-founder, he's the reason the digital ecosystem runs flawlessly and the physical energy in the room never flatlines. It turns out that preventing a server crash and saving a dying conversation require the exact same chaotic-good instincts. "Head of Vibe" isn't just a quirky startup title - it's a strictly enforced survival tactic.

Jagk - Co-Founder | Business & Relationships

Jagk

Co-Founder | Business & Relationships

15 years of decoding human behaviour, mostly the hard way. Forged in the fires of a deeply intense life and having survived enough sterile networking mixers to qualify for exposure therapy, Jagk handles the business and the people. He co-founded Paradise Glitch because he finally got tired of searching for a room that didn't exist, and decided to just build the damn thing himself.
